Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft - 360 failures well behind them.

They still don't deny it though.

I think its true, or possibly even higher.

You're never going to get them to spill the beans on what the rate is. Heck, they wouldn't admit anything about Fable III after two leaks about it, so I don't see how that proves anything at all.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

I think some people are just spoiled with the quality of the PS3. Microsoft is doing everything they can to improve the state of their hardware and lets just say its only going to get better with time.

Have a nice stay see you soon....

The failure rate is there...All my friends got RRoD...And even the 360 me and a room mate had got it...regardless MS fixed all of them for free...any model from 2008 and on will not RRoD...Atleast I doubt it..I think they have beaten it...also...More revision please! I would even want a Slim like line to launch with Natal..

I don't know, sounds like they are saying the newer models don't have any problems.  They talk about issues people have had with models in the past.

They will have problems, just no where near as many as the launch 360's, or other previous models.

Either way we look at it though, 54% failure rate is disgusting.

I doubt it is that high.  The reason microsoft doesn't give an official number is because they don't want to have any official number hit the news.  Right now, all people can do is speculate.  As long as it is just speculation it isn't as damaging.

Every revision gets better than the one before it and they give you a three year warranty as a safety net. What more can/should they do? I think some people are still unreasonably harsh on them even after paying out to correct their mistakes.

I agree. This is the reason why I bought the 360 over the PS3. They own up to their mistakes, and they repair it : FREE for three years. Ughhh I still remember my old PS2 problems / Sony days. I did wait till the 175w Falcon 360 came out to purchase though.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Its still unacceptable that Microsoft can come out with a product that failed at the rate that it did. The worse thing about it is Microsoft won't learn a thing from this, as they got rewarded by getting a big lead on Sony which resulted in games from Square-Enix, Capcom, and other game publishers that would have been ps3 exclusives coming to the 360. (Yes I know Sony had a lot to do with their demise as well with the high price and hard to work for system) If any company that did not have hundreds of billions of dollars in the bank came out with a product or service that failed at over a 50% clip, they would be out of business in no time!  When my NES from 20 years ago still works yet my roomates has gone through 2 360's in a few years that is not acceptable.  It is nice that Microsoft owned up and fixed these but it is still an inconvienience!

Pointless..the OP is about the second link...and this survey has no credibility...While the fail rates are very real....so is the gap
