in lunch you can use cellphones or ipod. I dont buy lunch at the school so idk about the food. you can also sit wherever you want (change seats everyday) which you couldnt do in middle school

Depends on the school, but college for me is much better for me. No 8 hour long school days! And you can get better teachers and more interesting classes. Still, my last year of HS was only from about 8:00 - 1:00 but college is good!
At my school our lunch is an hour and we can go pretty much wherever we want to as long as we stay inside the school building. I didn't like Freshman year much, as another poster said the excitement wears off after a while, I'm loving my senior year so far, the only class where I have to show any effort is my 1st period.
High school was ok for me. Swearing? depending on the teacher.
Ipods/phones? Nope not where i went
Study hall? boring
Hotter girls? lol wait til college
Mature? Umm not many
But hey its great ur enjoying it. Make the best of it. I'm currently in college right now and i'm havin more fun than i did in high school =P

(took 40 minutes at my middle school) all those things you can't do at middle school and you can at highschoool... edit: your allowed to bring food with u in most classes (xcept for honors biology)

Going by personal experience during my high school years (graduated last year). Welcome to the most tedious 4 years of your life. College is so much better.
Well you school district SUCKS, first day of school on August 26th? My school year doesnt start till September 9th =D
And yeah I like my high school, senior year :(

As it was said before, if you think those freedoms are great, just wait until you go to college.
I have Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry, Honors English, Honors Latin, Biology, and NO study hall!
Freshman year will be a JOY for me!
