Man exchange rates must be a bitch. If Sony can't sell Slim for the old Elite price then what hope is there for Slim when the highest priced 360 sku is still substantially cheaper than Slim? Fortunately for Sony that won't be the case in much of the Eurozone, the USA or Japan. Kinda lends a bit of credibility to Ninty raising the price of Wii in the UK. The Yen really needs to drop relative to the GBP, which means the UK needs to sort out its economic shit.
If the GBP:Yen goes up and looks stable then you can probably expect price refinements for Wiii and PS3 some time in the future. Seems USA price is well and truly set for the forseeable future though; no exhcange rate ajustments on the cards there. Though retailers who hedge smartly might be able to offer special deals every now and then. The price Sony promotes is the RRP, retailers are probably only contractually bound not to go above that price.
