Next week is when retailers will start clearing the old elite models for the new "HDMI-less" ones. Future shop has a rediculous sale, starting August 28th.

King fu panda/Lego Indy or GTA4 or Resident evil 5 (depending on model available in store...these are the only 3 models currently sold in Canada)

This is quite crazy. Even if you don't need any of this stuff, you could sell the Wifi adapter for 50-60, halo for 20-30 and the other game for 20-30 and get an xbox360 elite for ~200.

Yeah, they had these sort of deals for PS3s as well in Canada. Canadian retailers are really keen on getting things out of the door it seems.
Our Walmart sold 160gb PS3s for 399$ with LBP, KZ2, MGS4 and inFAMOUS a bit back.

Yeah my friend bought a PS3 at Futureshop yesterday for $450.

It came with an extra controller, Killzone 2, and Uncharted.

The funny thing the entire console war he was anti-PS3, and pro-360. Then he said the PS3 and no good exclusives, and he flipped shit when I told him his multi-thousand dollar gaming PC is a platform too. Now he has a PS3 :D.

Yea the futureshop near me had an 80gb ps3 with 3 blu rays and two 30-50$ games...insane
They also had the GTA IV edition at 349.99 with two extra games :o
