Yes but the "pre-ordered" figures are very impressive...

Wow...ODST launches in less than a month...wewill soon  know if it's a system seller like KZ2 or like Halo 3...

Dunno what Halo Reach is going to be, but it's going to be the biggest Video Game launch ever!!!  Also, I can't help but think that the we're not going anywhere is directed at alot of other stuff...lol!
Read Halo: The Fall of Reach. Best Halo Novel and the game has the potential to be better then all three games.

yep....ps3 actually outsold xbox that week of it's release.

I don't think so.

Besides, three years into the generation, i don't think there are any more system sellers. The possible exception would be GT5, which still hasn't come out this gen, but times have changed, and there are other car games as good as GT. FF13 doesn't matter because it's multiplat, so yeah, doubt it.

I think some people here are severely underestimating the power of the Halo brand in America.

I predict somewhere between 1-2 million the first couple days of release. Lifetime sales upwards of 5-6 million. I'm going to go under the assumption that somewhere between 30-40 percent of all Halo 3 owners will immediately want to pick this up. You will also get GoW fans who are being extremely swayed by the games equivolent of "Horde Mode". Then you have new fans who will be sucked in by Marketing Hype. Then you will also have fans that will be tempted by the fact that the main hero is a human, and the game will be played in a much more stealthy manner.

It will probably raise system sales by 10-15 percent for a few weeks.

I believe that multiplateforming is a key effect in the current generation.

But we don't talk much about it because fanboys are fighting each other every day.

It is strange that Microsoft presented some MW2 live footage at the beginning of E3... and the number of pre-ordered copies are massively superior to the PS3 ones at this moment.

 

I'm not convinced anymore about the impact of exclusivities on the choice of the plateform (except maybe for hardcore fans).

I don't have figures to support this feeling but... IMO, Modern Warfare 2 could be a better system seller than ODST for the 360...(or even for the PS3 , now that the price is adapted).

 

I remember getting my 360 with GRAW2 bundle.... GRAW2 is multiplat...
