I was, and it looked pretty amazing for its time. Taito used the same set-up for Ninja Warriors.

One overlooked thing is that not only it was an amazing 3-screen set-up, but it also enabled the games (D2 and NW spring to mind) to run in extremely high res for its time - 864 horizontal lines IIRC.

I love older Star Soldier games (PCE ones), but I'm not sure about Raiden. Never got into the original series, but strangely enough I loved Raiden Fighters Jet, and even bought the arcade recently.

This is slightly off-topic, but wow, how much did it cost? I'd like to buy arcades in the future, but I have no idea how or where to buy them. o_O

My local gym sold it for 400 quid. Not exactly cheap, but it came with the cabinet, and I'm sure it was originally much more expensive. Come to think about it, I dunno why I bought it really, must be nostalgia (it was originally only available at the arcades in the mid-'90s, and there were no ports), 'cause I'm sure it must be available on Mame.

The hardware itself is prety ancient, it's running on Intel's 386 IIRC.
