Forums - Microsoft - A New Perfect Dark is Coming . . .

So far no release date, but some screen shots for anybody who hasn't seen them.

I am hoping the controls will be good, the N64 controller was perfect for GoldeEeye / Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark Zero controls were awful, well that and the level design.

this thread got me all wound up

No
Loved N64 one,not this
Yes of course,Nintendo helped them a lot

I don't think so.

If it does, I will feel bad, because the current Rare will make it into a sub-par product.

Seems like it would be better in the hands of Retro Studios (if that were possible) or Bungie.

That is what my cousin insists. I don't think so and that is my honest opinion. It just doesn't seem like another Perfect Dark game would be financially good for Rare, especially seeing how Zero wasn't like by many. I have the original Perfect Dark on the N64 and my cousin has Zero and Zero just looks so boring to me. I also believe Nintendo should have kept Rare. So here are my three questions.

1. Do you think Rare is making a new Perfect Dark game?

2. Do you like or dislike Perfect Dark Zero?

3. Do you think Rare would have been more succesful if they were still with Nintendo?

Ready, go!

  1. Perfect Dark is coming to Xbox Live Arcade
  2. It was a launch game... decent for what it was. And the graphics were sick back then^^
  3. No.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

The game will probably be a flop. There hasn't been a good perfect dark game since the one on the n64.

I do not think they will be making another anytime soon due to rare's involvement with natal. Maybe for the xbox 720 though, that would be a possibility.
And no, as far as I am concerned, I do not like perfect dark. I did like goldeneye though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

1. I really have no idea, I love the original though.
2. I haven't played it but I heard it wasn't anywhere near as good as the first one.
3. Hard to say, from what I understand the creative team behind their most successful software had already jumped ship before the M$ deal went through, if that's the case then no, but if the deal was the real reason for that then yes, without a doubt they would have been more successful had they stayed with Nintendo.

No, it was just cancelled. It made me sad

GoldenEye >>>>>>>>>>> Perfect Dark

Remake GoldenEye!
