I was checking some news on Destructoid about the Guitar Hero update for the Avatar Marketplace (AMP) and the comments were quite... hostile..

I know that getting/buying clothes for your avatar is quite useless and pathetic... but we have seen worth...

Personally, I like it ....(trying to avoid rotten tomatoes).... I bought 2 T-Shirts, a Quicksilver surf-short and some sandals for my avatar (since it is supposed to look like me, I also made the skin tanned). Back from the beach - style (I'm back from holidays IRL)...

Even if I'm a bit ashamed of myself, I find my avatar way better looking than the others (still tucked with their std clothes)

On the other hand, I find the price of the accessories way to expensive but I believe that the goal is (aside from making money...) to avoid that everybody gets it.

Paying money for avatar clothes is like having sex with a porcupine. You do it to see what will happen and leave hating yourself.

The only differences are with avatars you're 50 cents poorer and with the porcupine you may as well lose your penis.

i havent and probably wont buy anything from it...but i like that at least we can see the stuff people get on here in the gamercards. its not something you could only show off in a game or in a virtual world.

I don't like it cause its extremely overpriced BS. Some of the stuff costs 5 Effin dollers!!! I will never buy anything from the avatar marketplace (just like I would never buy themes or gamerpics)

Avatar Awards on the other hand is frickin sweet! I hope every game from now on has avatar awards aplenty.

I'd rather buy clothes and dress up my avatar than play games on my 360. At the moment I find it more entertaining. That is until I get Netflix again and watch movies with my avatar with her pimped out clothes.

A little to rich for me but the idea is a good one and certainly if you can afford it bully for you. Like others have said the Avatars rewards is defaintely cool though.

I just wish the clone wars gear was not so expensive then my boy can get his dream Avatars outfit, well until next week, and that my friends is why I will be sticking to the free stuff.
