Forums - General - Im trying to help this girl with homework...

ok shes counting on me to help her get the answer for this summer packet ok...heres the tital "introduction to logic"

and heres the problem

Three red hats and three blue hats are packed in three boxes, with two hats in each box. The boxes are all labled incorrectly. To determine what each box actually contains, you may select one hat from one box, without looking at the contents of the box. explain how this will allow you to determine the contents of each box. (hint: list all possible solutions; then use logic to solve.)

what do you guys think, can you help me out??? After all i did make the official gt5 thread :D

If the boxes are labeled incorrectly, does it specify how they are labeled?

nope that the whole problem how they gave it to me...

Well that makes it a lot harder. What the hell is wrong with these teachers? I'll still try to help you get some ass.

I think the key is in the boxes being labeled incorrectly (if it says 1 blue and 1 red, you know that is must be either 2 blue or 2 red)
