But, unlike other posters here, besides some big games that came late in the PS2'S lifetime, most ps2 games look horrible. I said it was an insult to compare the two systems.

And can we stop blaming the developers for the Wii's shortcomings, its obvious most of the best looking console games are first party, so yes Nintendo games, which they know more of and spend more on, will always look better than 3rd party games. So, please stop blaming  the few developers that are trying to put some god games for the system for the Wii's short comings. It's just not that powerful.

This is the last time I will post towards the ignorance displayed in this thread. The Gamecube, 8 years ago, was stronger than the Playstation 2. The Wii is stronger than the Gamecube. Therefore, the Wii is guaranteed to have better graphics than the Playstation 2. Do not be confused by the efforts of Data Design Interactive and Conspiracy Entertainment when it comes to what the Wii is capable of. There is no doubt in any sensible person's mind that the Wii is stronger than the PS2.

Shadows of the Colossus aesthetically looks great, but the raw graphical appearance appears weak. God of War 2's appearance has become outdated as well. These games released 5 years and 7 years respectively into the PS2's life and are the best the console had to offer.

PS2 was weakest of the last gen graphics, so even if the Wii was the same level quality as the GC, it would still be stronger than the PS2. That said, the Wii is designed with stronger processing than the GC.

In the end, anyone even suggesting that the PS2 has better graphics is one of those cancerous fanboys that are sapping the life out of the game industry.

When you compare two games on the same console, the shortcomings aren't there anymore. They have the same obstacle to over come, and it is the amount of effort put into it that matters. Also I'm not blaming the developers that make good games. For the most part, they put the work into the game so it doesn't look like the average shovelware N64 quality title. I don't see how any of this is revelant to your reply to my post.

You said that it was pretty sad that I can only list a few when every Xbox game looks better than every PS2 game.

Then I said, if that were the case it is the developers fault, because the Wii is much more powerful than both the PS2 and Xbox. If they can't use it then it is their problem.

This last post that you posted contradicts with your first reply. It mentions on how the Wii games look better than most PS2 games.

So which is it? I don't understand. You say it is sad, and now you are acting like you were all optimistic and saying the Wii games look better.

Now show me a game on the Wii that has better graphics than GT4.

Wii, obviously, though I have to say its amazing what PS2 developers made with the console, games like FF12, GOW2, etc... look great and could be games with great graphics if they were on the Wii.

@sc, you don't need to list any game to prove the wii is better, that was my point. The fact some of you are arguing this means you think there some truth to it.

The only console people should be comparing is the XBOX, they seemed pretty equal from what i have seen.
