So yeah its that time of year again, just want to have a shout out for any muslims in these forums practising it this month.

I'm with you man..........17 hours long here in Canada. How long is yours?



Just 16 hours. But am glad more or less I tend to be much calmer and insightful.

this is what i do, i sleep at 5.30 and then wake up at like 2.30 and i only have 6 hours of not eating!



 

 

 

 

Well, my first iftar was at the local mosque......my sister's in-laws hosted it. I got hungry near the end, when I was taking out the iftar food, but otherwise it wasn't too difficult today. Only 28/29 days left till Eid!

My Iftar's has been at home hopefully I can get round my friends house and have some nice curry, Taraweeh prayers have been nice aswell coming home 11.30pm finishing the day off with a nice fruit salad.

I'm not a Muslim, but when I was an RA in university residence last year one of the people on my floor explained Ramadan and its history to me. It's probably the best story behind any religious tradition I've ever heard.

Just felt like saying that.

I think I learned more about Islam from that one conversation than I have during pretty much the entire rest of my life combined.

Ramadan is really a beautiful tradition. It's a shame more people don't hold to it and what it stands for.
