The same reason why people argue over sales of games or consoles. The most enjoyable games ive ever played have never been the best selling. And my favorite most used console ever has been the PS3, bringing it up the rear in sales.

If Forza is your thing, great. If GT is your thing, great. People just like to argue and always stand behind things theyre vested in monetarily (purchase of consoles or money sunk into them)

Its the way the way the world works.

Before the latest GT5 announcements, you didn't see as many of these Forza 3 topics on the Front page anymore. So idk about that one, boy.

To answer your question directly, no its not worth MY time.  There's already too much negativity among the fanbase of our beloved pasttime and this in particular seems . . . petty.

For the record, though, I'll be purchasing Forza Motorsport III over Grand Turismo 5.  Why?  Because its better?  Because it LOOKS better?  No.  Because I don't have a PS3 and I do have a 360.  Therefore its a non-issue for me which is better because I can't afford a PS3 right now and I don't have to choose between the two games.

Strangely (or not), I'd imagine that most that fight so valiantly on these and other message boards for whichever of these 2 games that they've pledged their allegiance to probably don't even have both consoles and thus don't have to choose between them either . . .

Actually I have both and im getting Forza 3.

My reasons?

1. Forza 3 will be 1/3rd cheaper at launch. (Microsoft charges $100 and not $130 for games in my country and pre-ordering gives me a $10 discount.

2. Forza 3 has a release date.

3. Both games are functionally similar, I will probably get bored of it before I even play 1/3rd of the content anyway, such is the case with a majority of people.

4. I like the triggers of the Xbox 360 controller better for racing and I always have.

If only everybody thought the same way. Both have their ups and downs, but suffice to say they both look AMAZING. The only reason people do it is because they are fanboys and need to prove that their system is better, if only by a nanometer. 

Because of shit like this! People like you (RPG) are the insult to PD.

And why the hell is everybody hating on Selnor? He is excited about a game that is going to come out on the system he owns...then a bunch of Fanboy morons come into HIS thread about a 360 game and start spewing shit left and right, is it any wonder why Selnor fires back with such gusto? Seriously, all you hatin' on Selnor need to get a life, let him have his fun, you are all guilty of doing the same thing as he is...fucking hypocrits.

It's simple, one of them is a stinky pile of shit and the other one is most likely the game of the year, it's easy to see why fanboys are arguing and also I'll buy both
