Here's two builds at different price levels - great value and very fast - but you may want to wait for DX11 cards next month. If there's any advice I can give you, it's build it yourself. If you want us to suggest parts it's helpful to give us an overall budget and what games/settings/resolutions you intend to play with it.

CPU: Phenom II X4 945 ($170)
GPU: Radeon HD 4890 ($180)
Motherboard: AMD 770 ($60)
RAM: 4GB DDR2 ($37)
Optical drive: CD/DVD Burner ($27)
Case with 450W PSU for about $40
Total: $514

CPU: Phenom II X3 720 ($120)
GPU: Radeon HD 4850 OC ($90)
Motherboard: AMD 770 ($60)
RAM: 4GB DDR2 ($37)
Optical drive: CD/DVD Burner ($27)
Case with 450W PSU for about $40
Total: $374

Bottom build will play any game (except Crysis) on High to Max settings at 1600x1200 resolution; Top build will do the same at 1920x1200. Transfer your existing OS to them, or if you can't then get OEM Vista Home Premium for $100 with Win7 upgrade coupon.

I need a system that will at least play this game - http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/reply.php?thread=83488"e=2511826.

Its pretty simple but I want to run it without a problem, and I will need a couple of USB hookups to use a steering wheel.

I also don't know where to start. Can i start with any basic computer or is there one thats preferred, but I wanted to buy a used one and just upgrade the components in them.. Thanks for all the help guys.

EDIT: Hit me up with a link for a case. Do you think 450W PSU is enough?

Again thanks for all of the help. I really appreciate it. And do ya think this case would support all of those components - http://reviews.cnet.com/cases/logisys-computer-area-51/4505-3030_7-31489271.html THANKS A BILLION

You're better off just building your own from scratch, buying one used will probably end up costing more... maybe. Just go for the combo I linked in the previous post.

Well I would go for your combo but the other components seperatley would be alot cheaper and would proabably get the job done. I just need a case to put it all in. I was thinkin this one would fit those components if it is good enough - http://reviews.cnet.com/cases/logisys-computer-area-51/4505-3030_7-31489271.html - please tell me or suggest a better case if you can. And again Thanks For Helpin Me.

Associates already mentioned 10 September as the preliminary announcement phase of AMD video card with directX 11 support. Actually, September is the last month of the third quarter - , in which AMD promised to begin the commercial deliveries of video chip with the support Of directX 11, released on 40 nm technology.

On 10 September AMD planned a briefing for the announcement of evergreen video card. But the announcement itself is planned for the later period. It is assumed that AMD will try to present the first video card with directX 11 support at the end of September.

in 2009 AMD company already demonstrated certain video card evergreen .This card occupy two expansion slots ,but on the rear panel is provided not only DVI port , but also HDMI DisplayPort ports . The demonstration of this card possibilities was reduced to the visual effects, ensured by games with the support Of directX 11.

Why not wait?

I dont need a big and bad graphics card.. What soleron suggested was perfect I just need to know what case I could buy to house all of those components. I can easily install them myself. Its not hard. But I just need a case and monitor. You can suggest monitors if you want but I dont want all of this heavy $250.00 monitor I just need a basic monitor to fit with those components well.

Any ATX case will do (since the motherboard I suggested is ATX). So your case will work.

Ok thanks alot Soleron, you have been a giant help already but I have one more question. The case comes ready for components and I can just install them right away?

Anyone wanna throw in an answer? Thanks.

Just wait on the CPU/mobo/GPU.

It's way too close to a big update on all three fronts unless you're going with an AMD CPU/mobo combination and prices on those may well end up dipping a bit once the i5 CPU/P55 1156 socket mobos become available.

Another factor to consider with the i5 is that the P55 mobos will cost significantly less (plenty in the $100-200 price range) than the i7 X58 mobos, which are technically still "enthusiast" boards even though decent X58 mobos are currently available for under $200.

DX11 VGA cards are right around the corner. Even if you don't spend a premium buying one (you shouldn't if on a tight budget), their availability guarantees everything else drops down a bit in price.

If you buy a case with a PSU pre-installed, it's really not any more plug and play than if you bought them separately. It's literally 4 screws to mount a PSU into a case. Cable management is what gets a bit trickier once all components start going into the case (keeping everything tied down, clean and clutter free to optimize air flow).

The downside is that the cheap PSU/case combos often have no-name brand PSUs. Generally, the PSU is not the best component to skimp out on (a common beginner's mistake). You're better off buying a quality PSU with a history of reliability for a bit more.
