hmm, interesting, tbh it wouldn't bother me that much, i mean, so i have to change discs to play on-line, who cares?

What would be the point of blu-ray PC games? All computer games are installed to the HDD so it doesn't matter what format the games come on, preferably the cheaper one, and last time I checked 2 or 3 DVD discs is still cheaper than 1 BD disc. So Sony and the rest of the BD group would need to really change the way they think to compete with DVD discs for PC games (this is also ignoring the increased D2D services for PC gaming).

Well said. Not that big of a deal, but also not even debatable which scenario is better.

In the past, yes, sometimes you had to disk swap on PC. When I first got Baldur's Gate 1 (1998), I didn't have enough free disk space to install the entire game which was quiet huge for the time. I had to disk swap.
The point is that we've always had platforms where disk swapping was perfectly acceptable, but for some reason, it's the end of the world when the 360 has to disk swap.

It's not end of the world but when you can choose to play with one disc versus three disc then of course you choose first option. Also if DVD's capacity causes to SE remove some features (like dual audio) then it is at least to me not acceptable.
I don't see what the problem with changing discs is, isn't that what we're doing now? When I play Oblivion and I want to play online then I switch to Halo 3 and when I'm done with that then I switch to GTA4. Changing discs isn't the problem, it's constantly having to change discs and as long as they can prevent that then it's not an issue. It's the same with the PS3 games that needs ot be installed, waiting a couple of minutes is not a problem imo and all the seconds you've used to switch discs add up to a couple of minutes and those aren't a problem either.
