The concept behind it is very similar. you can shoot in the fore and background if you need. It is open more or less to where you go but you need certain items to open areas.

I like the save system. There are rooms that you walk in and it autosaves. They are clearly marked on the map. I only got about an hour of game time on it but had a fun time.

Oh man this game is indeed awesome. I didn't play it for too long due to my familial duties but in that little bit of time......shit yeah!!!! My son is starting a campaign right now and I don't want to watch him play cause I'll be wanting to myself too much. Such smooth controls and it looks good graphically too.

PS I felt like an idoit when i first got the climbing gear. I tried doing a running jump off the little rock for about 10 minutes before i remembered you can go anywhere (finally went back a screen and climbed up in the right place lol.

Picked this up based on word of mouth. So far I think its a bargain at 1200 MPs.

Played it for about 3 hours so far and have loved every minute.

@shock182: Splosion Man is really good too. The timing can be frustrating at times, but the humor is great.

I'm almost done with the game already. It looks and plays a bit like Metroid and Castlevania, but the simplicity in the placement of items and stuff is just not that "complex." It also doesn't feel like everything is attached in an intelligent manner. Sure, you can go outside and enter different areas of the whole place, but I don't have this "feeling" that they've really thought about creating a good pacing with the exploration and stuff.

Still, the game is fun for what it is! If they do a sequel I'll play it.
