I think Nintendo will next until next year for their price cut.

I really don't think Nintendo need to do any anything and personally I just having a feeling that a regualr ps3 at 299 and a slimmer ps3 at 299 and an elite at 299 won't do anything to nintendo. it will raise sales obviously but not by cutting into wii's sales but by cutting into 360's sales.

Any more thoughts on this after the 500k slim sales reports? so MS and Nintendo need to do anything now?

MS did what it could do. now we just gotta wait for nintendo's move.

Microsoft already tried, and seemingly failed.

Nintendo has plenty of options, the question is will their greed prevent them from making a move.

the xbox360 got a pricecut as well this past week the 360 elite is now 300 which is pretty good. i did notice that there are no reports about the america's and that is the place where i saw 360's going out the door more then the ps3 slim in our town. but with the wii still seeing steady sales. this whole price cut thing and stuff is just a desperate move by sony to try and get people to buy their product the sad thing is the people that has already had a ps3 sold them or kept them and bought  a ps3slim so after the initial "re-launch" sales are done it will go back down to where it was before.

why would microsoft cut the price 2 times within 2 months, that could cripple their chances of ever making profit on XBOX 360
