Wii Sports Resort sells significantly better than Wii Fit at this age.

(even if you would align the 4th and 20th week jumps that are the western releases)
I'm 80% sure that Microsoft will drop the price before the holidays...
but I'm also 97% sure that Nintendo WILL NOT drop the Wii's price in this year, and 80% sure that NEITHER in next year.
Prices need to be cut because of the competition. It's for people who already WANT to buy a console, to convince them to buy a given console instead of the others.
NINTENO DOESN'T HAVE A REAL COMPETITION! Currently, their audience has only one option for gaming, so they can always keep the price reasonably high, and people will buy it rather than the cheaper competitors that have $0 value for them. It can't be too high, only because they are still indirectly competiting with other forms of entertainment. (they would rather do real sports than buy a 2000$ Wii, of course.)
