I think it's ok.

That explains why we (in America) never really saw Porygon in the anime.
Meh, there were several banned pokemon episodes. I did a research on this a while ago (yeah, just because I had nothing better to do). The one in the first post is from "Beauty and the Beach" which was aired in US only once (with James's Boobs scene cut-off), other would be "Legend of Dratini" (or something like that) where some dude pointed revolver at Ash's Face (yeah, right between the eyes!)...well, if you wonder why he had so many Tauroses later, that's when he got them. Porygon episode got banned because of seizure attack of the viewers (I think that's the reason why now in every anime at the beginning is a note that says "please keep your distance from TV and watch in a lit room").
Some other episodes were later banned because of stuff happening IRL...like "Tower of Terror" and "Tentacool and Tentacruel" episodes got temp. banned because of 9/11. One episode with Jinx got banned because of blackface (I think it was the one with Santa Claus). Some episode in Japan got banned because of earthquakes...
Oh well, whatever.

oh yeah, i remember watching that on tv here in the UK, wierd how it wasnt banned here.

How can you say meh? This is disturbing and disgusting! It deserves much more of a reaction.
