Forums - Gaming - iPhone gaming is surprisingly good!

Recently I got my hands on an iPhone and the first thing I did was check the App Store. I could'nt believe how cheap the games were and how good they looked (many games look better than DS games).

So since a am a big Resident Evil fan I downloaded RE4 for only £4.99 and this game is pure quality. It obiously is a watered down version of the console version but thats expected. It has great gameplay, decent controls and alot of replay value.

There are so many other games that I have my eye on but I'm only limiting my self to one game at a time. Not to mention there are some great RPGs, shooters and platformers, and has everything!

You can also get many great games for only 59p, its ridiculous!

Heres a list of some great looking games that I will be getting in the future:

Need fo Speed Undercover - £2.99

The Quest - £3.50, 50 hours of gameplay, very similar to Oblivion.

Zenonia- £1.79, a great looking RPG

Minigore - 0.59p!

The secret of Monkey Island: £4.99

All I can say is that I'm having a blast and things look to only get better.

iPhone gaming is not to be taking seriously. Playing games like Resident evil and Sonic without buttons is terrible. The only games to me that translate good on iPhone are puzzle games, space ace style games, and sometimes racing games, anything else like resident, sonic, and some other games, need buttons and a directional pad.

I have downloaded a few free games for my soon-to-be-seven-year-old son to play on my wife's iPhone.

They look pretty good. But I was amazed at how much Namco wants for full iPhone (as in specialized and reduced) versions of old console games ($7-$10). Also, in playing a water slide game, there was noticeable frame rate slowdown.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Mini games can be quite fun.

I have played RE4, RE Degeneration, Hero Of Sparta and Prey: Invasion. So far the RE games have been the best, and Hero of Sparta has been fun but shallow, definitely could be expanded on in the future.

for the price the games can't be beat. I got Zenonia at $5 and it was worth every cent. It is now priced at $2.99 I believe.

Aurora feint, arvale, gem ninja, vay, topple, hero of sparta etc are all great games. On some of these the controls take a little bit getting used to but the games are worth it.

I played few iPhone games, but only The Creeps! worth its 0.99$ price. BTW I Am Very Addicted to it.
