Forums - PC - Your first computer

If you can remember the specs, post your first computer. Even a picture would be nice.

Mine was an old Compaq Presario with a Pentium 1 processor, 48 megs of ram, and with Windows 98. I don't remember what else it had. It doesn't boot up anymore, I believe. So what is your first computer like?

The first computer I ever touched was a Commodore PET at my high school (c. 1980).

I started using the HP 100) Mainframe and Apple IIs in the computer lab in 1980.

The first computer I owned was a Coleco Adam (c. 1984). It died at 2:30 a.m. as I was working on a term paper (due later that day) in college. Needless to say, it was returned.

After that, I bought a Commodore 64 in 1984. I still own it.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Yup, mine was a Compaq Presario as well, but before Pentium 1 processors (486 processor!!!). It had Windows 95 and it came with a CD that included a preview of this song (probably to show media player capabilities or something):

Also, there was this game called "Yukon something"... I kept dying from freezing. :(

*EDIT: Oh yeah, I had a Commodore Vic-20 before, if that counts!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

A Dell Dimension with a 166Mhz Pentium processor, I believe 128MB of ram, and a 2GB harddrive. Oh and I think it had like a 2MB graphics card.

The Commodore 64 was my first computer.

It was Yukon Trail. I only played the demo, though. The graphics were ass.

I don't remeber the brand, but it had Windows 95, a Pentium I processor, a 512 MB hard drive and no CD-ROM drive.

Packard Bell Pentium 90 MHz from circa 1994.  The hard drive was 256 MB I think, and the OS was Windows for Workgroups 3.11.  Good enough to play System Shock, which was one of the first games I played on it.

I still need to play that game.
