Juist like you I passed up on Chrono Trigger as a youth, recently I picked it up on the DS and just completed my 1st playthrough.
Wow what a great game, emotional, though, great story and long, give it a go

Easily my favorite game of all time, and yes you did miss out by not playing this back during the SNES days. That being said if you can look past the primitive graphics and non cd audio sound you will enjoy this masterpiece. If you look at SNES games and can not get past the terrible graphics you may not enjoy it. I did that with Final Fantasy 7, as I missed the ps1 era with my N64 and when I went to play FF 7 on my ps2 I just could not get past how bad the game looked. I just got around to beating FF7 last year and while it was fun it was not the master piece everyone told me it would be.
I love the game
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
Its close to my favorite game of all time. The battle system is sooo intuitive and the characters are real and charming. The music is a blast as well. I'd say it's a must have for any JRPG fan.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."
I agree that you should go out there and play it. I would go with either the ds or snes option as like you I've had my share of can't deal with the load times even with one of my fav games of all time FFVI in that I could not finish it on the ps1 because of that. Good thing I still had the original snes cartridge
“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life." - author unknown
