The guys also said the ps3 will get a price cut in the next few weeks, but they're unsure about the Slim. They made bets on whether it'll be shown at GC. Two said yay and one said nay.
They also had an awesome segment on the Prof. Layton and the Diabolical Box. Apparently the puzzles are implemented more into the story this time around, which is awesome. Basically, instead of people asking you to solve puzzles for no reason while you're looking for clues for the overall plot, puzzles will be incorporated into the world more, ala Zelda or Indiana Jones.
As for GT5, I think it's a given we'll see a good bit of info on GT5 before GT PSP comes out. They're probably going to try and capitalize on the cross compatability between the two titles as much as possible.
One of the cool things about GT in the future is that any car you buy in any game transfers over to other games. If you unlock a car in GT5, it becomes unlocked in GT PSP, etc. This gives PSP owners with GT PSP incentive to pick up a ps3 and GT5 (and vice versa), plus it gives people that own both consoles incentive to pick up both games instead of just one. If they hadn't implemented this feature, the thought of buying GT PSP would've never crossed my mind (I rarely play my handhelds), but now I'm seriously considering a purchase.
The functionality between both titles is an advantage for each, one that would be wasted if they released farther apart than a few months.
For similar reasons, Ubisoft is releasing Assassin's Creed PSP right alongside Assassin's Creed II, touting the functionality between the two.
