I figured it's a new season, so we deserve a new thread to chat in. Week one of the pre-season is amongst us. Tom Brady is back and not looking as rusty as I'd like him to be. Hopefully the Cowboys are as rusty as they look.

So let's start this off interesting. There's only one real story going on anyways. Your thoughts on Michael Vick going to the Eagles? Will they even use him this year if he gets reinstated? I mean they're swamped now with four unique quarterbacks. Unless they have big plans for one of the three after McNabb goes bye bye, this seems like a waste of money.

Edit: I almost forgot. Are we going to be doing a prediction league this year? Machina! I want confirmation!

I just listened to Michael Vick's press conference, he may be BSing us all, but he sounded really sincere. He hit a lot of good talking points, and the part that truly impressed me was him saying that "Just because it happens a lot where I come from, that is no excuse". A lot of the media was using that as an excuse for him, and he just got frontal on it and said it wasn't an excuse. People taking the blame for the things they do is pretty rare these days. He spent his time in jail, paid his debt to society, I am totally on board with him getting a second chance if he is being honest with us. Time will tell on that front.

As far as what it means for the Iggles, well he could really learn a few things from McNabb, who is a very smart, classy guy and a heck of a quarterback. He's got a chance to up his game considerably, whether he takes it. . .

Lastly, Let's get this season going! Skol Vikings!

tom brady didnt look that rusty, 2 touchdowns?

I already can see it. I'm gonna want to gouge my eardrums out by week 3 to stop hearing about Michael Vick on a second by second basis on every NFL telecast.

I'm betting Vick gets used as a HB where he could run or throw.

Anyways, I'm a Panther's fan, and I'm just glad Smith is OK, we've already had one critical injury already, we'd be pretty f'd without him, although I'm sure we'd still be competitive, Fox has always been able to keep the team from being a complete pushover even when riddled with injuries.

Not to take anything away from Vick's athleticism, but his threat to pass really helped in his running numbers.

I just hope my favorite team, the Detroit Lions, Pulls through this year.

They sure as hell are not pulling a Miami Dolphins turnaround this year.

Your face isn't pulling a Miami Dolphins turnaround this year.
