Unreleased 32X X-men Game Unearthed

By Spencer . August 11, 2009 . 1:55pm

Sega’s ill-fated 32X had a number of projects that never saw the light of day like X-men: Mind Games. A prototype of the unreleased game is now available thanks to the good folks at Sega Saturno.

The Lost Levels, the Internet’s home for graveyard games, has a magazine scan, which shows a level with Wolverine and claims “X-Men is going to be unreal”.

Here’s a very “real” look at what we missed playing in 1994.

Well, it doesn't look like we missed much.

X-Men: Mutants In Time

I am a huge x-men fan but I can honestly say i'm glad that game didn't see the light of day.

Its like Way of the Warrior meets Killer Instinct meets Final Fight meets the antigamer. Its evil.

it's only a prototype guys, I'm sure the actual game would of been pretty cool.

this has to be a joke. After the stellar Xmen 2 on the genesis they would make this for the "upgraded" 32X. One can hardly believe that the same company ran sega from 1990 to 1994 and from 1995 to 1998. 1999 and on Sega was amazing but it was too late.

The game and the way it works looks amazing but the controls seem horrible. Plus, dude, that music is the worst.

nice find, i like to see these games that could have been. Honestly it looks quite good because honestly most games on 32x didn't really look much better than genesis games. This actually really reminds me of early saturn games. Obviously suffers the fate of most early 3d games and looks like absolute crap now.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Good thing this never was released.
