Forums - Sony - Haze sucked because Free Radical couldn't program for PS3

this is a horrible reason... the game ran pretty smoothly IMO eveything from the writing, story, characters, plot, level design, voice work, was awful!! the graphics wasn't game breaking

I think alittle bit of both. I believe Free Radical needed more time to understand the PS3, or more time with there development kit as the above person mentioned. But.. the major factor within this written text is 'Time'. They didn't have enough time, at least they released something, not what people wanted; but at least they did unlike some other game companies which I will not mention. Maybe there concept for the game was too large a scope to do in the alotted time. Maybe the product wasn't as good as they first thought. Maybe it was rushed out. Lots of maybe's there :)

DAMN!!

Haze was pretty bad folks. All fanboyism aside.

People were hyping the game to be a HALO-KILLER.

It wasn't even a Bionic Commando killer.

he just said that everything fell by the wayside because they were having problems just getting it to run. Why are people bringing up things like voice acting and story and such.
Obviously if you're on a budget, and just making the game work is taking up 90% of the budget, you're probably going to have to hire the voice actors from Resident Evil 1, and you're probably going to have to cut a lot of dialogue and story elements..
They probably didn't even pay the guy who did the horrible boxart.

Can't wait to see this so called "real potential" they bring out of the console with the Cryengine 3. This generation has just started with those words.

^^ No, even if there wasn't any hype for it, it still sucked lol.

I thought this game was supposed to be the ''Halo killer''? Thats what i heard.

No, thats what they said Killzone 2 was gonna be. Haze was still hyped enough to be considered in Too Human's league of bombing though.

OT: Free Radical, regardless of Haze, was an absolutely amazing when it came to their TimeSplitters series.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I didn't think Haze was terrible. I mean i finished the game at least.

How does trouble programming make up for terrible voice acting... I see no connection, they are just using excuses... I had high hopes for them, I want my Time Splitters!

anyway they release the game too fast
in that short period of time nothing can be well done on both ps3 and xbox 360
