When I was 7, I could tell that games such as the NES's Friday the 13th, Cabbage Patch Kids and The Karare Kid were bad. There's no excuse, really. Any human being will dislike what they dislike and to say that kids have low standards is just arbitary nonsense from older fans.

Sonic games will suck not because SEGA appeals to 12 year olds but because they're being released once or twice a year to meet revenue quotas.

i dont know why they just dont make some smaller 2d sonics that can be sold on xbl and psn. i think all sonic games are garbage, but it seems to me that these are the sorts that would quiet some of the loudest complainers.

When I was sevenish, I thought Friday the 13th was one of my favorite games. I thought Jaws was also. I played them and Punch Out a ridiculous amount of time. I didn't know the difference in quality between them. Now I do.

So with this large amount of anecdotal evidence, we can conlude that 50% of children cannot tell the difference between a masterpiece and a piece of crap.

The main demographic he is speaking of- no one here is a part of. Unless you guys have the opinion of some 5-12 year old you can relay to me, you only represent one side of the spectrum.
