Ok, so now I'm stupid and an asshole.

Awesome.

Ehh, well, I never said that. I don't even know where you got the asshole part from. If you want to be a stupid asshole and call yourself that, fine by me. I'll just sit there and be confused by your self-hatred.

Before this becomes a shit-talking fest.....

Domo, I think what's Hatchet is saying is that you could at least say your opinion without labeling a fellow member.

An Hatchet....practice what you preach please....because what you replied basically discredits what you said to him in the first place....even though Domo made it worse than it sounds....

Play nice people we're on the internet...we're not a bunch of trolls.

Let gets back at the topic at hand people.

I'm being nice, seriously.

Mafoo is a very intelligent person, and more than likely a nice person, I never said he wasn't.

That doesn't change my opinion about his political beliefs though.

Try some reading comprehension, because I never labeled anyone anything. And I never discredited myself at all. All you're doing is discrediting yourself by getting everything wrong.

Domo-kun: See? That's more like it .

Whoops, I read that part wrong. Well played, but that still doesn't count the second part. You're still wrong.

So where do France and Germany rank in terms of how socialist they are in the context of the EU? Sorta socialist, or super socialist?

No but seriously, good to hear. The idea that anybody got out of this damn thing is great, gives me hope for the US.

Australia never went into recession in the first place.

Did Fra/Ger do bailouts too? How much?

For Germany:

A stimulus plan was passed in January. Altogether it was 50 billion € = 71 billion $

Their is as well a bail-out-fond for banks with a theoretical volume of 400 billion € / about 90 billion € were actually used by now, but I don't have exact numbers.

Apart from that there was talk about helping GM's daughter Opel to stand alone again, but no decession was made yet. They numbers they're talking about here are between 3-4,5 billion €

For France:

I know for sure, that they helped Peugeot and Renault out with 6 billion €

I just read through some french sites, and what I found is a stimulus package of 21,5 billion €
