With the first one abandoning it's survival horror roots and becoming more of an action game, do you think that Capcom will restore the series back to the way it was, especially after the 5th one got a lot of critisism for being similar to Gears of War. Would you prefer the series to stay like RE5 or be a bit more like RE4. What changes are you looking forward to in this game? Who do you think the main character will be? And when do you think it will come out? DISCUSS!

I prefer RE5, i don't see anything wrong with it. I just want the story to end but not too soon.

Gears of War-like gameplay on a Left 4 Dead-like environment, focus on casual multiplayer / online / co-op. Set on Racoon City with Chris and Jill. Coming out by the second year or so of the next gen.

Back to basics... I prefer to fight actual zombies like the first couple of games, not some disease ridden people like in Resident Evil 4 and to some extent 5 lol

After RE5 (both gameplay and story) I could really care less if they make a 6th one. Unless they decide to go back to the old story with maybe and RE 4.5 or something then it really doesn't matter. They ruined the characters and the story in the 5th one.   So yes more like the 4th one.

I personally thought the 4th one was the best. The game was finally fixed. Game stuck to its roots while making it better with a slick new control setup (which has since changed the industry itself). If they want to build off that in the old story then I'll be right there following. But for an RE6 that has anything to do with the storyline after the 5th one... could care less right now.

Have you ever played Gears? It would be a great idea.

I'd be happy with a sandbox environment of a newly infected (and thus quarantined again) racoon city. Something sort of like infamous or GTIV- but with zombies and a storyline
