1st Enix only game is DQ...Star Ocean, Valkryrie Profile are tri-Ace franchise..Enix just published them..this is not a fair contest

IIRCC, all of the mentioned series are Enix owned. If that is the case then Dragon Quest is in the same boat since most of the series isn't developed by Enix themselves. The recent developer to develop Dragon Quest games was Level 5. It is fair because we are comparing enix owned series, to square owned series basically. Whoever developed it doesn't really matter much. Now if you go beyond that and compare more than games, then you have to do what I did and consider other aspects about the company like how financially stable they are.

It looks like you are right, but I'm still uncertain. Still Enix owns many other games than Dragon Quest. Such games are Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma(AMAZING game), Actraiser I & II, E.V.O, and many others. So to say all they have is Dragon Quest is a little bit of an exaggeration. These games are VERY old though so they aren't well known today.

tri-Ace operates more like a business partner than a second party, they only sell publishing rights thats it, for example SE owns the publishing rights to SO4..but if tri-Ace wanted to make SO5 and have a new publisher...they could very well do that

Squaresoft for sure. But Enix made E.V.O. and that game was amazing! Nevermind, they only published the game. Argghhh!

oh and yea DQ is the only ENIX survivor franchise..after its super success of DQ they apparently decided they didnt need them...it also helps to mention they own the second most successful Manga in Japan.
