I've never played a SO game to its maximum in bonus dungeons before until SO4 and DAMN holy shit!
My only tri-ace game ever to go beyond to the hard exra levels was Valkyrie profile 2: Silmeria, and to be honest it was rather hard.
But this guy blows it all away!

The Master Ninja level that came as dlc for the original Ninja Gaiden on the xbox. I have never not finished a game except for that one. I couldn't even make it past the second boss...

Some guy in ff9, right before the last boss y , theres an area where you encounter another boss and if you beat him you can buy stuff from him. Dont know his name though, i found him harder than the last boss to be honest.
edit: didnt use a walktrough on him though.

Cool story. It is very rare to get that attack when fighting a boss. Although Omega weapon is way harder. The only way I could defeat it was by using hero medicine lol. Luckily you get 100 hero medicine for Laguna's card hehe.
Prinny Bhaal in Disgaea, damn that thing takes a lot of grinding to kill.
Other honourable mention include C'thun from Wow.
He was the last end raid boss my Guild downed before the the expansion and aside from Nax is without a doubt the hardest raid WoW ever had for its time and also one of the most unique boss fight.
Final boss of most Touhou game are also ball-breaking in Lunatic mode.
^christ, C'thun was unbeatable. Bliz even had to nerf him twice. He was the boss that took forever for even the top guilds to down.
