Google Hijackthis, go to their homepage, and I'm sure they have a support forum where people ask for help and post their logs... otherwise you could just google your question and you're bound to get an link to a forum...

I dunno, just download MBAM and all the other free anti spyware and use them in safe mode.

Download.com is a bad place to download stuff. It's just as infected with viruses as most torrent sites are.
