@ zexen, well I was in a similar situation, except I have played MII, Rome and MI, so I tried Sins of a Solar Empire. it is quite similar, except it is sci-fi. The main difference is that the battles happen in real time, but there is still a lot or army and empire management, you should look it up, and it is quite cheap now

But I played SoaSE to death, and my dad didn't like it much. Maybe he'll play Civ4, it's there in the desktop, so maybe he'll like it. And I still have Europa Universalis III, dunno if he tried that one

What did you guys think of my hastily made AAR? I know it's not of good quality, but was it at least readable?

I'll like to, if people wanted, continue it, and I'll have more time to spend on it now that I'm almost done with summer college.

Anyone know if there's an easy and light program that I can use to capture screenshots other than with Prt Scrn? Annoying switching between Paint and M:TWII and having to remember to save as with a different name.

I'm planning to invade the Moors next, as the Egyptians are my allies, and once I've garrisoned the borders against Egypt properly, and the cities and fortresses of the Moors are functional again, I'll launch an assault against Spain and Portugal. After that I'll let people vote what to do or something.

which is better medieval total war 2 or empire total war? (if they patched the later of course)

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Well personally, I was expecting this to be a EUIII thread, lol.
I like gameplay AAR's myself though.
I have had surreal victories in Barbarian invasion as the westen roman empire..

Look at the remaining troops if you don't find it impressive enough.. Yep, i did that with shitty troops.

And here is a screenie of the most epic come from behind victory ever.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... O.o

Please elaborate. You really did have shitty troops, and I'm assuming you were facing off against horde armies and troops?

Which one? Get Rome: Total War first if you're thinking about buying Medieval II.

I saw Rome for twenty bucks, including the barbarian invasion expansion.

Yep, grab it. Although if you're looking on Steam I recomend against it. I had to go through SEGA's customer service to get a proper CD key to play online. If you could find the same Gold Edition in physical form get it over the Steam version, it'll save you headaches and time when you want to try your hand at online.

What other Total War games are there? The only other ones I've seen are Medieval total war and Empire total war.
