Thus far, I am trailing way behind.

How many others made your predictions on the outset, and how far are you behind?

My prediction was (on the lucasarts forums):

PS3 -- 28 million

Xbox 360 -- 37 million

Wii -- 70 Million

I predicted in mid-December 2008:

Wii - 79.5 million
360 - 40.5 million
PS3 - 29 million

I think I overestimated all of them, especially the Wii.

I'm going to be way off on the Wii, though there are many more people with similar predictions I think (due to adjustments to December 2008 sales and the recession having more impact than I thought).

Regarding the Wii, I was more worried before I saw the effect of Wii Sports Resort and Monster Hunter 3 (thought that might be temporary, time will tell). But it will still be hard to get to 70 million, let alone 79.5 as I predicted...

DQ X doesn't have an announced date yet, AFAIK.

on ps3 you should be off by a million & n xbox by about 2 million or so

The average VGC predictions in that thread were:

Wii - 77.7 million
360 - 39.8 million
PS3 - 32.6 million

It seems that thread will be quite accurate for the 360, very inaccurate for the Wii and slightly inaccurate for the PS3.
