IF PS2's breakage rate was anything approaching that of 360, another company could certainly have tried to advertise their machine as being higher quality hardware. If. With 360, it can certainly be done.
Even people who like the game library know and complain about 360's shoddy hardware.

I think everyone (or almost everyone) agree that the 360 hardware isn't great in terms of relibility (although it is much much much better now, falcon onwards) but this doesn't take away the fact that the system is amazing in terms of games, entertainment and online features, this is why soooo many people stick with the 360 even if they do have problems, I for one would NEVER leave the 360 scene if mine broke even more than once, it's just too good a system to miss out on,
This is the main thing I notice when looking on forums, yes the 360 has MANY hardware problems but almost everyone puts up with it because the system is THAT good, it would be different if you had to pay for each repair but you don't, not for three years so there really isn't a lot to moan about, and even if your system does go wrong MS give you a month free xbox live or a game as compensation plus the free repair and free shipping, can't get better than that and at least they have admitted the problems and have tried VERY hard to put things right.
That's my thoughts on the situation....
