10+ yrs, to know your hard earn cash went to something that's been out for a decade is money well worth/spent. And usually by the near end of a console's lifespan (approx 10yrs), devs are more so optimizing the console's power so I dont want it to be cut short.

I think it will be one of the longest gens, since PC gaming isn't really driving things forward (unless MMOs and Popcap are the future for us all).

The NES, PS1, and PS2 generations all lasted longer than that :)
