also power cable burning xbox that burned a house and killed a baby... but nobody likes to talk about that.
microsoft of course never fixed it ,but recalled the power cable so they don't get burn.
My PS2 fat likes to give disc read errors for not explainable reason, sometimes it takes 20 tries to get it to read even brand new games and sometimes it doesn't. My gamecube died on me it too was the disc drive as it would still boot the dashboard just couldn't read the discs. My brothers original xbox died on him as well ironically because of a disc drive failure. My 360 RRoD on me in 2007 when it was about 1 years old, no problems since even with leaving the console on constantly
I've had many console from the Atari 2600 until now. That includes the original Xbox and the Xbox 360. I have problems with the PS1 (had to flip it over to read disc), the PS2 (DRE), and the Gamecube (problems reading discs).
[I played my SNES for three days straight the console was so hot that I couldn't touch it. I actually burnt my fingers when I touched it. I turned the console off and let it sit for a day or so. The next time I played it was perfectly fine the console played just as good as ever.]
that brings the LOLs and i stopped reading there

This isn't the first instance of hardware sucking.
1st gen PS1 was garbage. Would overheat and stop reading games. (happened to me all the time)
1st gen PS2 was garbage. It had dvd reading issues... (happened to me on several PS2s)
But 360 takes the cake...I've never had a RROD myself mind you.
However Xbox 1 was superior to PS2 in every way form a hardware reliability standpoint. You jsut had bad luck...
I think it is a recent thing. I have owned quite a few consoles since the 5200 myself. The only consoles I have ever had brick on me were the PS3 and the 360. It is cause they (the builder) are sacrificing stability and longevity for price. It is all about the money. Plus they figure they don't need to make them last forever. The consoles will be outdated in 7 to 10 years. Yes Sony your 10 year plan is crap. You were going to replace it by then anyway.
My PS1,PS2 and game boy has all failed on me,Weird enough my 360 hasn't...But i did get the 3 red light for a minute than i worked again last saturday:(

Since when did ya get a PS3?
On Topic: MS were never to good in the hardware to begin with anyway, ala "CERTAIN" PC's....
Even still, cut them some slack there doing good now atleast, there jasper is wonderful.

Its all on a personal basis. Ive had my ps2 since launch and it has never broke down on me, its like winning the console lottery. To be honest the only system ive ever had fail on me is my sega cd, and I pretty much own all nintendo, sega, and sony consoles.
