I think cult is a "negative" way of saying religion.

According to the dictionary, a cult is "a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader."

The only difference between a relgion and a cult is how many followers it has. So, a cult can become a religion no matter how ridiculous it is as long as it has enough followers. Furthermore most, if not all, religions started as a cult with a charismatic leader who was considered crazy at the time (and may still be considered crazy):

Moses - Judaism
Jesus - Christianity
Mohammed - Islam
Bhudda - Bhuddism
Joseph Smith - Mormonism

So bascially there isn't really a difference because there are extreame people of any religion. Like there might be some extreame beliefs in Scientology.

Any Religion can be seen in a negative light. I consider all religions to be cults but thats just my opinion.

Scientology is for idiots. Why? Take Christianity, for example. People are raised to be Christians, so they become Christians. If they are smart enough, they realize it is wrong, and stop being one. But many intelligent people are still christian, because they've been brainwashed since birth to believe in such stupid things. Scientologists, however, overwhelmingly convert many years after they are born. They weren't brainwashed when they were most susceptible, they were brainwashed when they should be able to formulate their own opinions. This is because they are idiots.

You know that it's also entirely possible to convert to the major religions right? What I find really fucking stupid is when people change religions when they get married (or to get married). Once I heard a lady ask what religion fits closely to her own set of moral codes >.<

God dammit, some people go bezerk over religion, and others treat their religious beliefs like it's nothing and frivolous >.< I'm so confused.

You have to make your own mind up. Evauate the evidence(or lack of it) and come to an informed decision. Me personally i chose Science.
