There's is a 3 year warranty for RROD but what kind of freezing are we talking about here? Mine has slowdowns (basically freezes) with my dashboard sometimes and that's more along the line of something else, not RROD.

My console freezes out right not a slow down. I'll be playing it for example yesterday I was on live and suddenly it just froze I couldn't move the screen was completely frozen. Sometimes when it freezes the screen turns all pixely, I just wish it would RROD already so I can get it repaired my three years is almost up!

It may be the graphics card inside the 360 that's causing all the mutated pixelation.

you may want to make sure that the vent holes aren't blocked by something, they easily get covered with dust. Another good idea is to take a flashlight and shine it through and verify that the fins on the fan aren't covered in dust. If it is dirty you can try one of the compressed air cans to clear it off.

What I would do is turn the 360 on and put it in a closed cabinet until it overheats so you can get the free RROD repair =)

The amount it would cost for Microsoft to repair an out of warranty 360. You might as well throw out the old system and buy a new system.
If the 360 is under 3 years and under warranty you might as well over heat the system resulting in the RROD and get Microsoft to fix the 360 free of charge.

Play all day and the console will RROD because of the heat that is stressing the GPU`s solders. When they break...RROD.

You can overheat the 360 with towels, but the end result is the same.

I`ve heard that if you are a Live user and call MS support, you can say you have RROD and they will accept your 360 without questions. You don`t really need to rrod your Elite...keep that in mind if you can`t get it to RROD

Well my console kept freezing sooner and sooner. Then it finally  Red Ringed. However when I went to the X-Box website's repairs section it said it was out of warranty and Microsoft's wants to charge me for it. However it is only two years old and I know its supposed to be covered for 3 years. The box even says 2007 on it. I haven't heard back from Microsoft yet.

What should I do, I haven't heard back from them and I know the website wants to charge me? Should I phone Microsoft's Canadian Headqaurters? Or should I send another email. I love my 360 and every day without it is really annoying, sure I have my Wii but nothing good has come out for that recently. I could use my PS3 but I hate the controller and don't own any games for its (Besides Resistance)!

I just want to get my 360 working again!

Also when I send it in, do I send the hardrive with it, and if I do, do I loose all my data or do they do what Nintendo does and transfer the data to the new console?
