I don't see why they can't release a game in October. There's barely anything big in that month.

There would only be a month of selling-time before Modern Warfare 2 would render their game irrelevant.

Less than 1 in 10 people from the PS360 userbase will buy MW2 (and even the ones that buy it have enough money to buy more than just one game) it is the christmas season after all.

Damn you MWII!! I'm not even buying you, but all the other games I was planning to at instead got pushed back =(

This is nothing. You want to know what games got bumped out of the glorious year of 2007? Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Nothing this year compares to the loss of those games not coming out in 07, and as I hear it, people didn't end up minding the losses too much in the end. There are other things to play folks. You'll have plenty of time to pretend like you were actually going to buy Splatterhouse and Dark Void next year.

You wouldn't believe the phone conversations I was having because of that.  I swear, it was like "Delay Wii Game Season" back then.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I don't think it's just MW2 - It's the MW2 / Assassin's Creed 2 combo that is having everyone retreat.

Lots of games I wanted are being pushed to 2010 but I can see the positives when there are still Brutal Legend, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Ratch and Clank Future, Borderlands, Modern Warfare 2 etc there to pry open my wallet.

Don't forget Left 4 Dead 2.

The delays are no biggie for me, i'll get by on the excellent range of games coming to xbla and my token yearly updates (NFS, WWE, NBA) plus we have the return of the Hawkster, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza 3 & of course Halo: ODST, so it's all good here.

If you are fed up of those "yearly update" games i can understand your frustration though.

I might actually buy Smackdown vs Raw 2010 this year. I haven't bought a wrestling game in 4 years because SvR was always the inferior game to me compared to the GC iterations. But since there are no alternatives, and the Wii SvR games have all sucked, I have held out. Maybe this year, they finally got it right for the  Wii one.
