I get the feeling that E3 was their PSP-centric show, and GamesCom will be their ps3-centric show. New hardware will be shown at each show, along with big news on upcoming games. GT PSP was fully unveiled at E3. GT5 will probably get the spotlight at GamesCom. New features were shown for the PSP at E3 (comic store, video store), and new features will likely be shown for the ps3 at GamesCom (firmware 3.0, video store for Europe).

etc. etc.

Perhaps...but what does that leave for TGS?

TGS has never been a big show for Sony.  Last year they had a 30 minute press conference.  TGS has never really been that big for any of the big three.  Nintendo doesn't even bother showing up.

GamesCom was formed for the sole purpose of giving Europe an E3-caliber conference, and it seems Sony are going to exploit that, given the 3 hour long conference (probably only 2 hours minus drinks etc.) they have planned for the show.  GamesCom represents a big change this year for game conferences in Europe.  TGS will be the same it is every year.

Of course, I don't expect them to stay quiet at TGS.  We'll probably get a WKC2 reveal, and a release date from SE for FFXIII in Japan.  Plus anouncements of FFXIII and GT5 bundles.

Gamescom cant come sson enough.

There is gona be some cool stuff (and announcements) in that 3 hour marathon!

Gran Turismo 5 release date + shit loads of gameplay footage.

God of War 3 release date + more gameplay.

Heavy Rain release date.

The Last Guardian stuff.

Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 announced for PS3.

An actual real Agent trailer.

Lots of PSP stuff.

I think there will be a "steal" from the 360.

And much, much more.

Starcraft 2 for the ps3? I'll jizz in my pants if that was true.

OT: SLim is bound to happen, question is when? and answer is this holiday.

GT5 gamecom it's just perfect place and date, european media its going be all over it.

TGS  probably be about Versus, agito and dissidia.

Damn. Sony 'reinvents' home consoles the way Nintendo does handhelds.

If PS3 slim is true, ill be torn between PS2 BC and a console that isnt the size of a small grill.

So some retailer in the UK slashing prices for the PS3 is evidence for a slim model? You guys are really reaching.

I don't know why people are getting so excited for the slim. If the PSP Go is any indication, it'll likely be more expensive and probably have fewer features than the phat.

Read the OP and it makes sense. It's not 'reaching' at all - it's actually common sense.
