Forums - General - Who saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

So who saw this film. I have sene it twice so far. It was even better the second time around.

Now its the countdown to the next installment. About 16 months to go.

I've seen it... I wasn't all that impressed actually. There were some laughs in there but the seriousness of it all made me chuckle aswell a few times. Much to the dislike of the girl I was seeing the movie with. She was actually crying at the end and she was 25.

Safe to say, not the type of film for me.

My mom, sister, and I really like the actress Evanna Lynch (who plays Luna Lovegood; she's the one who wore the lion/griffon outfit to the Quiditch game and the pretty dress to the Christmas party). Luna Lovegood's Patronus is a rabbit, and what's ironic is that I had a pet rabbit named Luna before I even read the books or saw the movie.

I saw it. It was good as predicted.

Saw it and liked it... I found some of the changes from book to movie a bit strange and it was, imo, a bit too much focused on romance but other than that, I enjoyed it.

It was ok...although I didn't really like the neglecting of the half-blood prince storyline, where the mystery was relegated to little more than a 'oh, it was me by the way' at the end.

I watched it. It's good. Not the best film, but it's good. I'd place it, in a scale:
1>5>2=6=4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>3

BIG SPOILERS, obviously

I really liked the first hour-and-a-half of the film, but I felt a bit disappointed with the ending. They didn't put one of my fav parts, the battle in Hogwarts where the Death Eaters try to escape and the DA/Order of the Phoenix attacks them. I also felt that the funeral was necessary to be included. And (though this could be corrected in the 7th-1st part) they didn't explain which were the remaining Horcruxes, dunno how's Harry gonna guess that Nagini and Hufflepuff's Cup are two of them, and he also didn't see Voldemort's visit to the castle to apply for DADA teacher, that's important to guess another Horcrux

Also, the attack on the Burrow had no sense, why include that, that wasn't on the book, and not include the battle in Hogwarts?

But overall good film, it's obvious they were running out of time so they had to cut short a few important things. That's why I think splitting the 7th is a good move, as it will prevent these things

Too high. That..."film" ruined my fav book in the series...I'll hate it forever for that

Me. It was OK. Can't wait for the last one. I heard a lot of people say they're going to do a part 1 and 2 for the last film.
