After sinking thousands of hours into Counter Strike and a bunch of MMOs i mostly play good single player games with interesting story.
And only some wipeout and fightning games on multi.

Online gaming is the only reason to put a lot of time into most games. The majority of games are not good enough in single player to have any replay vaule...
Well online gaming to me has only been for Strategy games or MMO's... so to me it is important for those genres.
But for my Wii/X360/PS3, its nice to have, but rarely use it.
I game. You game. We game.
I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.
Current Systems Owned: NSwitch/PS4/XONE/WiiU/3DS/2DS/PCGaming Rig-i7/ASUS i7 Gaming Laptop.
Previous Game Consoles: PS3/Xbox360/Wii/DSL/Pretty much every one thats been released since the Atari 2600.
I can't stand the online on the wii. So for me, it doesn't matter at all if my wii games have online or not. However, having online on my xbox 360 or ps3 games is a very big deal.
You just need a system that has decent online play, then you might be able to get into it.
I prefer single player but on occasion ill go online and get my butt kicked by the guy who plays 12 hours a day online. i dont mind if i get frustrated i just stay away from online a while.
Online is a nice extra to have. But my only problem with it, is when developers focus too much time on the online instead of the single player. I just can't wrap my mind around that. I bought the game to play the story and have a great time playing the campaign or whatever not the online.
Depends on the game, some games I don't care about online even if it has it, others I ONLY care about online.

Exactly.
OT: I only care about online in my games if its an online-only game or something like an fighting game where there's not much in the campaign =P (I havent tried Metal Gear Online or KZ2 online yet, im sure they're fun and good but online doesnt interest me as much as the story)
I don't care about online but if the option is there i might just play it a little bit for a change. It's not really required for me though.
