They pretty much announced the game was ready at or just after E3. What makes me sceptical is the lack of anybody actually playing it at E3.

It is likely that the developer believes the game to be ready and it was Sony who held it back and it could be that they have had a change of heart due to the financial situation and are releasing early. If they do release early I hope it is actually ready because that would be criminal if not the case.

If it comes out then Sony owns Japan and Europe this holiday. No doubt. Add a Slim and maybe a price cut and 2010 looks like 2008 for Sony again only this time MS has some games to counter our big releases

I dunno Europe loves it some GT5 I can see a ton of Europe gamers purchasing a PS3 for GT5 even if they already have a 360 and Forza....Besides as of right now GT's brand is MUCH stronger that Forza's so it's easy to see how Forza can be the underdog in this situation

I think what he meant was that PD would like to release GT5 near Forza 3 to prove it's still top dog.

No, but the majority of people who own both consoles will be more likely to buy Gran Turismo when it comes out purly because it is GRAN TURISMO 5!!!!

I agree that Forza3 is the underdog, it is in a no-lose situation really.


Kind of like the Xbox 360 and Wii at the start of the Generation.

If GT5 doesn't move a significant amount of PS3... then no games will...

Gran Turismo is bigger than Metal Gear Solid, that moved the PS3 above the Wii for only 2 weeks. I doubt Gran Turismo will move PS3 above the Wii for any longer unless of course theres a slim and/or price cut.
