Forums - PC - Looking to do some PC gaming; Need video card help

So I rechecked my system info, and turns out I actually have a 2.6GHz P4.... prospects?

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Around the Network

my problem with a bottom end pcs has always been that I tend to spend more time tweeking the game than playing.

What if just change this a little? Or if I turn it down but increase resolution...what if this, that...

I think you need new mobo, cpu and PCI video card to avoid running bottom of the barrel visuals...gears of war without great graphics is not gears of war but...Dark Sector...lol

But only if you've got an acceptable PSU (400W or so).

But the thing is your CPU is inadequate and many games are not requiring Core 2 Duos as their minimum requirements, so your best bet is a complete overhaul.
