Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360+ and the 1TB (Part 2 with a beautiful end)

Yesterday Xbox Evolved brought new light on a new Xbox 360 model rumored to be incoming under the name of Xbox 360+ or ”plus” coming from programmer Ryan Geiss. We had contacted Ryan about the matter of that plus symbol and if it could have possibly just been a big mistake. When we tried to contact Mr. Geiss via his site to clear this up, something curious happened; we got a reply, but not from Ryan. This is what it said:

”He uses standard keyboard which have numeric keys on the right so typing 360+ could have been a mistake although this time you are right. X360+ is true. + is to show consumers that this X is something more than just a console << Something like that will be posted by Microsoft PR due time. (Probably on twitter since that will be more of a "personal" message). Also it will not have 1TB drive ;)”

While not an official confirmation, it is indeed very supportive of the rumor, so you can take a few less grains of salt with this one. What remain unanswered is the date, exact features, and a price point. We do at least know that it will not come with the rumored 1TB hard drive, a move which is likely to keep costs within the range of the casual consumers the Xbox 360+ is trying to target. What’s also something to look at is the statement of it being more than just a console. That gives reason to believe that the Xbox 360+ will probably have a more media centered approach. Could Microsoft be adding an internal blu-ray drive? It can also be assumed that a dashboard update could come along with the SKU, which would feature a more streamlined setup making it easier to control with gestures. We’ll post more information on the Xbox 360+ as we get it.

The xbox360+ is really coming! Why do we need 1TB? A new xbox360 is good enough, but what can we expect from this new model?

If this launches before PS3 Slim that's not a good sign for Sony at ALL. Hopefully Slim get's released for the holidays.

So who contacted them?

They should release a nex gen console by 2012. Otherwise this looks great.

This is great, but I honestly don't believe its 1TB. If it is 1TB,I bet it will cost over 500-600 dollars for the new sku

Um, what? Who responded to them, and why do they have such poor grammar?

Did you read the post?

Doesn't the 360 use s 2.5" HD? You know the 1st 1TB 2.5" HD was just announced a couple of days ago, so a 1TB HD won't be happening.

In other words: Xbox 360 console is the same, but we added Natal to the package. Either that or it is to symbolize the new added features for media such as improved Netfilx, 1080p streaming, Zune marketplace, Last.fm, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

OH SHIT GUYS, IT'S BLU-RAY!!!!

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need...
