Forums - General - Do you smoke? Do you plan on quitting if you do?

If your BBQ is smoking like a chimney, you have a problem. What do you cook on it? o_O

Also, as far as I know, cigarette smoke fricking stinks. It's just human nature to try to stay away from stuff that make you feel uncomfortable. I guess some people find pleasure in destroying their lungs though, but like I said, it's their choice. Just respect my choice as well.

I'm talking generally here.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

lol sometimes strikes me as funny that many non smokers i know who dislike smoking intensely still feel nothing about sitting round a BBQ or campfire breathing in all the ash and shit and don't even breathe through a filter, and don't bitch about it.

I think there is a difference between burning meat and burning chemicals, the smell for example. Also, the amount of smoke isnt that big in a BBQ as someone said and its not coming from a persons stinky mouth.

Ahh...for the luxury of living in a first world country where you don't have to use wood over an open fire for a BBQ and you have easy access to smokeless charcoal, closed smoker systems and chimneys etc.

Bloody luxury.

As for bad breath, they have some wonderful inventions these days called mouthwash , toothpaste and toothbrushes. use 3 times a day as recommended.

For the first thing, I dont know whats the problem with that, I also live in what you would call a "third world country" and I dont use wood on my BBQs.

For the second thing, as much as I would like that to happen, most people just have a bad higene, and smoking just makes their mouth worst.

I happen to live in the capital, anyway its getting off topic. A BBQ isnt the same as cigarrettes.

BBQ or campfire smoke don't have all of the terrible additives (tar >.<) that are in the common cigarette, though.

Sort of uncomparable.

no it's not, nor's sucking down a lungful of exhaust fumes or breathing near a forest fire but they're still pretty bad.

Every day scientists and "health experts" are spending research money trying to find new and interesting ways to bore us to death by making us live in boring clinically clean padded rooms eating and drinking nothing but the purest spring water (provided by Coca-Cola of course) and cabbage (Courtesy of Mc Donalds).

Then of course they'll discover that both of those things are actually dangerous and so ban them too.

Then we're all pretty much stuffed.

It's my choice to smoke. I enjoy it. When I want to stop, I will. I don't force it on others and nor should they attempt to enforce their lifestyle choices on me either.

I smoke but it rarely disturbs my inner peace. I wanted to quit a couple of times in college, it was purely a money issue then, and I haven't considered it since I started to earn enough.

I started considering it again last week because I'm going to take a break from work and go study some Japanese XD

So having a BBQ is a luxury but smoking isn't? Most people who smoke could buy 10 BBQs a year with all the money they burn smoking.
