Whether you have 100'' HD projection screen and surround sound or a 13'' tube TV on an old, stained coffee table, feel free to post pictures of your setups here! Don't be ashamed, everybody's is different, and none are truly "better" or "worse" than others as long as the owner gets the amount of satisfaction they need out of it.

Since when? As long as I remember you've always had to pay a premium to have the "Sony" label on products.
They use to be the standout product, always the best. And now despite being more expensive, more likely are not the best.
I' busy re-doing my home theatre room this summer, so I will post my setup later... with the recession, I'm not sure I will have enough money to do what I planned...
PS: I'm a big-head so I don't like Samsung and cheap plastic speakers...

I'm at the office for the moment... and it is just a pill of consoles, cables, amplifier (etc) in front of a wall that need to be repainted and furnitures that need to be changed

It looks like you need to upgrade your speakers to match your A/V system. That looks to me like a Yamaha, and possibly an RX-V563 which is a fairly capable systems.
Here are my pictures for now. I took these as soon as I got the speakers setup, but it is a little better organized now. I'm trying to build a house now, so once I move I plan on upgrading my TV to something in the 50" range or possibly a projector and going to 80".
Right now I'm running a 32" Vizio that I bought when I got married.
I finished my sound system this spring with a Yamaha RX-V663, with NHT 5.1 speaker system. The speakers are comprised of Classic 3's for the L/R, Classic 3C for Center, both of which are 3-way speakers with a 6.5" woofer, 2.75" mid, and .75" tweeter. For surround I have the NHT Absolute 0's, which are a slightly smaller 2-way speaker, and the Sub is their Classic 12, which is a 12" Deep throw sub-woofer that is 250W.
I actually have all the speakers for a 7.1 system, but my room is too small so I'm using my last two Absolute 0's for zone 2 speakers over in the kitchen and hallway.
To finish off my system I bought the Harmony 890 which is a universal RF remote so I can control my setup from any room in my apartment. (100ft range)

This is usually only for gaming. But you are right I guess... I have never got around to upgrading them. |
well, that is understandable then, so long as the main system is a good setup.
