@ leo-j
Well I'm buying it to play games, not for all the extras :)
@okr
I guess I should do that. i'm just a bit old fashioned, hate buying things that will arrive by mail (although I never lost a single item that way :P).

Buy the psp for the existing library (almost no new titles anymore)
,buy the DS for the gems that you have to dig through the crap to get at,
And buy the iphone or ipod touch if you want to be poor... lol.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

| FootballFan said: The DS lite is far better value than the DSI. The difference isnt really that noticible. DS lite is far > than normal DS. The difference isnt so clear between I and lite. If you buy UMDs you use them like consoles, insert and play. I dont think you can install games on the PSP via the UMD. The PSP GO offeres Digital Distribution, if you plan on having lots and lots of games it might be the way to go, its so much more expensive that i dont see it as i good choice at its current price point. A few months ago i would have said get the DS. But, recently with many, many, many PSP game announcements i have changed my views. PSP is now of equal value to the DS and it all depends on what games you would like. Resident Evil Metal Gear Solid Gran Turismo and countless others have ignited my interest in the previous "empty" handheld. The DS others more classics and proabably a better variety, but PSP others the "hardcore" games as i have mentioned and has graphics. Hope this has helped answer your questions. If you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask ![]() |
I would of said listen to him though he is wrong about the DSi. If you like guitar hero or GBA
games alot. Than its a tough pick but if you don't I think you should get a DSi of the 2. Its has
a camera, its like a MP3 player also you can browse the inernet and get dsiware games.
Also you will eventually will upgrade when some excluesives come ou.

DS - http://www.gamestats.com/index/gs/nintendo-ds.html
It has games that aren't out yet as well.
The DSi isn't really worth an extra 100. The camera and ability to play music are great and all, but just about every standard phone can do that. You lose the ability to play GBA games (Which makes guitar hero and transferring pokemon from past titles impossible). The DS does have a better battery life than the psp though.
The psp (1000-2000-3000) all have about a 4 hour battery life if you're playing a game (sometimes an hour less). Out of the 20 or so games I have (mostly the big name titles), none require you to install the UMD (or even allow it). The memory sticks for the psp are disturbingly expensive. I believe I got a 1 gig stick for something like 30 dollars from Sony.
The up side about the psp would be the multi-use you can get from it. pictures-games-music-online radio-internet-etc. The graphics are a step above the DS as well- though the loading times and spinning sound of the UMD might bother at times.
in the end, you're better off picking the system that plays the games you like. :p
psp is coming out with ffxiii agito and dissidea pretty soon, so keep that in mind if you enjoy final fantasy.
I've never had a 4 hour battery. 5 hours at least and that's with the brightness setting and audio level at max.
And memory sticks are supper cheap now. 8 GB are $35 in stores now.
Loading times don't affect my gameplay at all. The earlier games might have had some problems (Star wars battlefront 2) but now I don't notice anything irregular.
@Orca_Azure
Yeah, Agito and Dissidia are some of the games I'd want to get. One of the reasons I'm considering buying one this late. 4 or so unrealesed games I want plus alot of older ones.
Off the top of my head great DS games
Advance Wars Dual Strike exclusive
Advance Wars Days of Ruin exclusive
Chrono Trigger
New Super Mario Kart exclusive
Mario Kart DS exclusive
Contra 4 exclusive
Pokemon Platinum exclusive
Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow exclusive
The Legend Of Zelda Phantom Hourglass exclusive
Meteos exclusive
Castlevania Portait of Ruin exclusive
Castlevania Order of Ecclasia exclusive
The DS is the only handheld Chrono Triggers on
and Chinatown wars is being ported to the PSP although how things will work without touchscreens remains to be seen.

the dsi don't cost 100 bucks more it only cost it only cost 40 more dollars(169.99)
if you're not fan of Guitar Hero on ds i would consider getting DSi - more games will use this console additional stuff. for example new Dj Max on ds will use it(probably for dlc). many DSiware games are coming.
if you want psp - DO NOT pick up GO. for current price it's useles - basically you're getting less for higher price. it's not worth it until it will be under 200$.
