If Sony goes down...I would go to Nintendo, and if Nintendo goes down, I stop being a gamer and get a life xD

Nintendo fans would give up on games as their needs would go 90% unserved by the other two.
Sony fans would mostly give up and go to the pub, or play an older Pro-Evo 'till the end of time (or at least the end of football)
Half MS fans would go PS and half would go PC (they need their hardcore fix either way).
I'd propose this question:
Should Sony AND Microsoft drop out of consoles (hypothetically due to mounting losses without a foreseeable end while taking Nintendo's apparent immortality into account), then what would happen to the industry?
For one thing 1up would be out of a job.
What do you think would happen?
I don't know what would happen in a Nintendo-Only Industry... we need thesource to grace us with his wiseness and knowledge of video games...
Why not add me on msn... ish_187@hotmail.co.uk

Well, if all 3 went bust that would mean there was no market anymore.
If two went out, obviously fans all go to the survivor.
If Nintendo went bust, fans would follow the franchises.
If MS went bust, most would go Sony (or at least they would have in the PS2 days).
If it were Sony... it depends. PS3 owners would almost certainly go MS. But there's still a legion of unclaimed PS2 owners out there. Clearly most are not part of the early adopter/tech-head crowd. And other than GTA, I'm not sure any franchise or genre dominated PS2 sales. So aside from 12m GTA fans, I'm not sure one can reliably predict where their fans would go. 360 has the tech and shooters, but Wii has the buzz.

Easy, we'd be playing the same hardware for the next ten years. Without any competetion Nintendo will choose not to innovate and therefore we'd be playing the Wii until another competitor emerges. We have already seen what a Nintendo-only market would be like, as it would be similar to the handheld market in the 90s or indeed the NES until the Genesis arrived.
If nintendo went out of business then there fans would go the mac. They would give up on gaming and start making videos and music using macs easy to use and innovative software.
Well, not sure how similar I am to others but I used to be a big Sega fanboy and my whole group as as well. Genesis fuck yah lol.
We all followed the same path when the Dreamcast died.....Sega >> Sony >> Microsoft.
We're all 360 Owners now and we were all PS2 owners before that. The group I hang with doesn't really buy more then one console, so looks like we'll be in the MS crowd forever :P
Although I might buy a PS3 eventually dependong on UT3 and game lineup so we'll see.

Freedom is a message everyone can embrace!
If Nintendo would stop, I would quit gaming... Maybe still play Sims on computer (Mac... Getting one next year! ^^) but that's about it. Even though I like some games on the other ones, I mainly prefer Nintendo and I guess I have other stuff in life that I want.
It those three will exit the market I am sure some of us will go out more, meet new people, have new friends, will study better, will have better marks, find a great job meet an nice woman/man , marry him or her, have many children and will enjoy a happy, great life.......AARGH WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

I think if Nintendo went bust I would go to PC and a sprinkle of 360 but then again both are closely related
