Forums - PC - Space and King's Quest Collection on Steam

Activision is not letting Lucasarts have all the pie. Until July 30th you can buy all the Space Quest games for US$14.99 and all the King's Quest games for US$14.99 as well!

They also added Timeshift ($14.99), a minigolf game and Aces of the Galaxy (IIRC this one's in XBLA and PSN for quite some time now)

Thank you, salaminizer.

Currently downloading SQ & KQ collections.

OMFG!!!!

BTW: I payed 14,98€ for both collections together, that's roughly 21$. Cheaper in Europe?

Those are both very very tempting. I haven't played all of either series, and there are certain chapters of both I love. But I've spent way too much money on gaming this past month....so maybe I'll wait a few weeks...maybe.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Holy $% that's awesome. One of the better things to come out of Activision getting a hold of Sierra.

Win!

Buying at this moment!

Interesting how it doesn't include the abomination that is Mask of Eternity in the King's Quest collection. Also it says Vista is not supported though the games may run anyway, maybe I'll hold off on this until someone else tries it first. :D Then again, it is only $15....

I haven't tried it on W7 yet, I only briefly tried it on XP.

And I don't think I've ever seen a collection that includes Mask of Eternity. Sierra wisely swept that one under the carpet. If anyone tries to bring it up I'm sure they just say No no, it's VII you're thinking of. That was the bad one.

Awesome news!
As a non-Steamer, I have a question: are these games fiddled by Steam etc. to work on modern systems, or are progs like DOSbox still needed for them?
Seriously friggin tempting to join now...This +Lucasarts? this means other faves are on their way - LSL, Ploice Quest, Quest for Glory, Manhunter etc., almost too good to be true!
